Walking into Sage & Oats Trading Post, you’ll embark on a journey of discovery. The shop is a treasure trove of unique items, each with its own story. On one side, a wall of Native herbal teas. Turn, and you’ll find hand-dyed Ukrainian silk scarves and tweed handbags from Scotland. This marvelous melting pot of goods is intentionally curated by owners Major (Northern Cheyenne) and Michelle Robinson.
When the shop launched in 2018, Major and Michelle wanted to create a boutique shopping experience that celebrated and combined goods from Native American tribes and other cultures that have settled in Montana, including the Northern Isles, Scandinavian, Asian, and European countries.
The store embodies the powerful belief that our differences, when brought together, can celebrate our unique ancestry, allow us to find commonalities, and bridge cultural divides. Come explore and find something that ignites your curiosity for another culture.
