DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday October 15th\, raise a glass with the organizers of Helena’s 2024 Boobicon – running October 14-19. $1 from every beer sold will be donated to their work raising awareness for breast cancer. \nRecognizing the rising number of breast cancer diagnoses\, Boobiecon is asking all of Helena to support breast cancer survivors and thrivers\, past\, present and future. Please help us share the signs to watch for\, recognizing that early detection is the best defense. \nBoobiecon is happy to partner with Pack the Place in Pink. This nonprofit gives breast cancer patients a “hug” in the form of financial support. Gifts are given with no strings attached to allow the person fighting breast cancer to spend the money how ever they choose. \nPatients use the money to cover travel expenses\, lost wages\, help with housecleaning\, anything that they choose. This is an organization that is making a difference in the lives of breast cancer patients in Montana. Running strictly on volunteer power\, 95 cents of every dollar is given away. The more money they raise\, the more they can give away.

DESCRIPTION:Come raise a glass to the work of Helena Sun Run and their fundraising effort for solar panels on the new Helena Food Share building! \n$1 from every beer sold on Tuesday September 24th will be donated to the fund for solar panels on the new Helena Food Share building. \nFrom 5-7pm come down to sign up for the Helena Sun Run (held October 5th)\, donate to the cause\, or learn more about the project and race. \nThe Helena Sun Run is a fundraiser 5k/1 mile walk organized annually to raise money for a solar array on a public or non-profit building in the city. Thus far\, the Sun Run has fundraised for panels on the Lewis and Clark Library\, the Holter Museum of Art\, Carroll College\, three Helena Elementary Schools\, and is now entering its first year in partnership with Helena Food Share to put panels on their brand new building currently under construction at 1280 Boulder Ave. \nThe race/walk this year is on Saturday\, October 5\, at the new Helena Food Share building (1280 Boulder Ave) and we would love to see you there. This event is co-organized by Sleeping Giant Citizens Council\, a local grass-roots organization focused on conservation and local food issues\, the Helena Vigilante Runners\, and Helena Food Share. Helena Food Share will be using this event as a Grand Opening for the new building. Organizations involved in green energy will also be tabling there. Please join us for the 9th annual Helena Sun Run.

Join us at the Blackfoot Taproom for a Community Night on Thursday\, March 28th in support of Aspen Adult Services. $1 from every beer sold will be donated to their work in the community. \nAspen Adult Services\, Inc. is a social service organization operating out of Helena\, MT that provides state contracted services to Montanans with disabilities. We offer supported employment services that provide job search assistance\, job placement and on the job supports to people looking to work in the community. The Grove is a day program on site that offers Day Program Services and activities to keep individuals engaged in life and in learning when they aren’t as able to work in the community. \nAspen Adult Services also offers Independent Living Services to Montanans with Disabilities. These services help individuals remain in their own homes by providing laundry help\, housekeeping\, cooking\, passing medications\, etc. and teaching our clients to live their most independent lives.
